His mercies are new every morning, but I feel like I have used up a whole week's worth of mercy already. I am in mercy deficit. Can I start on next week's supply now? Or better, can I just skip the next day and a half of my life, and get to Saturday?
Wow, how close you are to what I am feeling these last few days. I have been repeating Psalm 130 to myself.
ReplyDeleteYou know what is scary? I think I want God's strength and mercy more than I want God. This line in Ps 130 bothers me:
ReplyDelete"my soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning, more than those who watch for the morning."
I used to know the meaning of that line instinctively. Now I read it again and it is almost an empty echo. Thanks for sharing.
