Back at work for ONE day...

.. and I feel like griping already.

Sigh. This gripe is along the lines of more and more work without a corresponding increase in pay or responsibility. This is about as much as you get when you strip a gripe of its juicy detail.

Strip a gripe; bone to pick... notice how these phrases run together and makes you think of a dried out chicken bone? Okay, maybe not, but humour me.

yes, i do... occupational hazard for those in the finance industry, i'm afraid... ;-) they pay well but also take their pound of flesh...

Ah, but how much is your pound of flesh really worth? ;) I was watching Japan Hour and they showed this slab of some super high grade fish that cost US$400! It made me think that that pound of fish flesh cost more than what Shylock wanted for Antonio's. (What was it? 70 ducats? Oh wait, it was 3000 ducats. Nevermind.) Really, this comment has nothing to do with anything at all.

heh heh... know what u mean... or what about Kobe beef, which they sell almost like gold?

unfortunately, my pound of flesh isn't likely to come any where close...

which makes me wonder: if a person is large, then, would the value per pound be less than if the person was small and had less flesh?... but then, the skinny guy would not have enuff to scrape a pound of flesh from... so, back to square one... heh...

lolz... i see how this is just spinning further and further out of relevance by the minute...

Personally I'm growing a pound of flesh on my belly, if anyone wants it.
