If it is too much pain then forgo the date on 3rd Dec. If are still young and many opportunties in the future.
on the other hand i understand the fustration. I would have crawl to the finish if required.
It is not easy to do long distance. Committement, determination, endurance to complete whatever odds that are stack in front. Hopefully with experience, injury will be minimised.
it wasn't too bad. i can walk the day after! whoohoo! the knee did hurt though, and it was only 21km. i'm contemplating bribing a friend to wait for me with crutches at the 40km mark. :)
We(sgrunners) have a support table at 30km mark(Macdonald at East Coast). You can leave your crutches there...:) on another note, you can leave your favouriate drink, food, shoe, sock etc there to give you that extra boost for the next 12km.
No lah, you don't need to crawl. You will do fine, just make sure you don't worsen your injury! Make sure u handed your workload over before the race, you might need a couple more days of MC than intended....:)

Hi kops. Oh I don't think I will skip this race. I want to finish the marathon before I turn 30. ;)
So, like you say, even if it means crawling to the finish... and an MC the next day!
enjoy your training in the run-up to 3 Dec :)... and i really mean enjoy :D

Reno, enjoy?!?! Hmm. Okay. I'll try. :)
Kops, haha! :)
Unless the support table offers instant ITB transplants, I doubt anything will help at the 30km *gulp* mark. ;)
