interesting quote with interesting roots...

chastity
1. The condition or quality of being pure or chaste.
2a. Virginity.
2b. Virtuous character.
2c. Celibacy.
Middle English chastite, from Old French chastete, from Latin castits, from castus,

chaste
1. Morally pure in thought or conduct; decent and modest.
2a. Not having experienced sexual intercourse; virginal.
2b. Abstaining from unlawful sexual intercourse.
2c. Abstaining from all sexual intercourse; celibate.
3. Pure or simple in design or style; austere.
Middle English, from Old French, from Latin castus; see kes- in Indo-European roots

cas·trate
1. To remove the testicles of (a male); geld or emasculate.
2. To remove the ovaries of (a female); spay.
3. To deprive of virility or spirit; emasculate.
Latin castrre, castrt-; see kes- in Indo-European roots.

if being chaste, ie. pure and moral is the equivalent to being castrated and deprived of all sexuality, then, i too would say: NOT YET....
